What is Tiwtor?

Do you have a mobile app?

Yes — Tiwtor is available on iOS and Android. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Tiwtor no longer supports a web app.

Which languages does Tiwtor support?

Currently, Tiwtor is focused on Welsh language learning. We're working on adding support for more languages in the future.

Will you support Irish Gaelic?

Irish Gaelic is next on our roadmap after Welsh. We've identified suitable text-to-speech solutions and are actively working towards adding Irish support.

Will you support Scottish Gaelic?

Scottish Gaelic is on our roadmap, though the timeline depends on finding a high-quality text-to-speech model with commercial licensing. We're actively researching suitable options to ensure we can provide the same audio quality experience that our Welsh learners enjoy.

Phrase lists and phrases

What are phrase lists?

Phrase lists are groups of related phrases that you can learn together. You can create custom phrase lists based on topics you're interested in, or use pre-made template phrase lists to get started quickly.

How many phrases can I add to a phrase list?

There's no strict limit on the number of phrases in a phrase list. However, we recommend keeping phrase lists focused on specific topics with 20-50 phrases for optimal learning.

Can I generate phrases automatically?

Yes! You can use our AI-powered phrase generation to create phrases on any topic. Simply provide a topic or context, and Tiwtor will generate relevant phrases for you to learn.

What is the phrase inbox?

The phrase inbox is where incomplete phrases are stored. These are phrases that are missing translations or other required information. You can complete them later or move them to a phrase list once they're ready.

Learning and exercises

What's the difference between Learn and Review modes?

Learn mode introduces new phrases from your phrase lists, while Review mode focuses on phrases you've already encountered that need reinforcement based on the spaced repetition schedule.

Can I customize lesson settings?

Yes! You can adjust various settings including audio playback speed, whether to show translations first, and how many times to repeat each phrase during lessons.

Account and billing

Is Tiwtor free to use?

Tiwtor offers a free trial period for new users. After the trial, you'll need an active subscription to continue using all features.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if you're not satisfied with Tiwtor. Please contact our support team for assistance.

Does Tiwtor work offline?

Not yet. Offline practice is planned and will arrive in a future update.

How is my data stored?
